Every month, members of Stats Edge Trading get new portfolios to review. This month, we sold PLTR 0.00%↑ for a 60% gain and rolled that money into AAPL 0.00%↑. I have received numerous questions about tariffs and lag, so I thought I would address them here.
Simply put, I have no idea about any of those, and more importantly, I don’t care. If anyone tells you they know what the impact of these news events would have for the stock, they are lying. Regardless of whether you're a systems trader or a manual one, we are all taking simple but educated bets on the future of any of our trades.
The difference is that, as systems traders, we don’t fool ourselves into thinking we know. We have systems we test over a long period of time that show an edge on the market, and we come in and exploit that edge daily without emotion.
