But it's one of my favourites. I look for a stock to gap off of earnings and then consolidate for a week or so after. Often, I have found that the next breakout could be a nice move.

The reason for this is that after earnings, sometimes it takes a while for the market to react to the change in fundamentals. In this setup, we are using technicals to trade in the direction of new fundamentals.
